In the beginning of 2003 we started with the initial idea to create a map of Greece by prefecture with hotels which would wish to be advertised.

This however would not be different from the rest of the tourist guides which go to the level of prefecture with a database for finding the hotels. We wanted to create a unique interactive platform which would go down to the level of towns.

So we undertook the long and difficult task to create digital detailed road maps by prefecture, which contain the maximum possible number of towns and villages for their scale and all the hotels of Greece.

We placed thousands of links on the town names and town marks, which lead to all the hotels of those towns.

The idea was to enable the user to have easy access to the hotels of the town of his choice and interest. This would give him a visual picture of the location of his destination.

We succeeded in creating a digital platform which contains Greece. We expanded the idea of the digital interactive maps to other sectors of information, sush as, travel agents, football fields 5X5, photo albums and video from towns and villages, camping and a lot more.

All this based on the idea select by map.

Having spent thousands of manhours we created MapGr a packet of Greece and not only, a unique interactive platform which contains Greece.
